Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® - Duck Egg Blue

Although I haven’t used this tin of paint as yet, I have used it before and expect that the quality will once again be a 5 star product. The service from Gaudy & Prim was excellent as well.

Very happy with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and waxes. I used them to get a distressed French provincial effect on a Whatnot using Duck Egg Blue over a deep teal base coat and some parts that had been gilded. The result was most satisfactory. The paint is easy to use and gives a consistent result. The waxing softens the result and gives a luxurious feel to the finished project.
Newcomers to painted furniture can have confidence in the products and if they have any doubts there are numerous Annie Sloan videos on the web that will help overcome them.
Gaudy and Prim handled my order promptly and efficiently and enclosed a personal note of encouragement with the consignment that was a nice touch.

This is the first time I've used chalk paint. The application over Old White was super easy. Since then I have sanded the duck egg blue back in some spots to the old white and timber of our cabinet, and waxed same. The blue is lovely, a subtle soft shade of just blue that is not a glaringly obvious bright blue. The colour is reminiscent of something older and worn, an earthy colour that has proven perfect to antiquate a piece of furniture.
